DDA Action Plan and Inclusive Community PlansObvius Access consultants have experience of providing stakeholder consultations within the community as well as within government and private organisations to provide strategic reports, such as Community Plans and Action Plans to meet the intent of the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA).
The DDA encourages organisations to develop Action Plans under Section 60 of the DDA to eliminate discriminatory practices. Copies of these may be given to the Australian Human Rights Commission in accordance with Section 64 of the DDA . Registering an Action Plan with the Human Rights Commission allows people with Disabilities to see what your business has committed to achieve. The Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA) makes it unlawful to discriminate, in the provision of goods, services or facilities, against people on the basis that they have, or may have, a disability. It also makes it unlawful to discriminate against a person on the basis that one of her or his associates has, or may have, a disability.
